My experience spans over 20 years in the social service arena. I have offered services through private and community agencies in the areas of individual and family therapy, advocacy, program development and training. I am committed to working with individuals and families who are experiencing difficulties and or challenges as a result of life transitions. Counseling is a collaboration between the client and the therapist. This collaboration permits me to introduce techniques and skills to clients that will aid them in gaining insight into their current situation and developing goals to meet their needs. My goal as a therapist is to create an environment that encourages and promotes growth and change. This environment is maintained in a space that is non-judgmental which grants an opportunity to be healed, restored and to thrive.
INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING
Adults and adolescents receive therapeutic services specific to their identified needs.
PRE-MARITAL & COUPLES COUNSELING
It is our quest to aid engaged, married, and dating couples on their journey to healthy and sustainable unions. All In Dew Time uses the Prepare/Enrich assessment tool and enrichment activities when working with couples. The assessment tool and activities are utilized to strengthen and transform couples' relationships. Prepare/Enrich is a widely respected and evidence based program. Over 4 million couples have used this program to prepare for marriage or enrich their current relationships.
FAMILY COUNSELING
Family counseling explores the dynamics of the family and how that impacts the family's ability to live, love and maintain unity.
PARENTING CLASSES
Active Parenting workshops cover core effective parenting skills. Those skills include, but are not limited to, effective, nonviolent discipline techniques, teaching mutual respect, the power of encouragement, and successful communication skills.
The skills and tips offered through this curriculum helps parents make parenting decisions with confidence when confronted with difficult situations at home.
SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS
I am available for speaking engagements and to offer workshops and training sessions. The topic and time allotted for each offering varies and can be adapted to suit your needs. Speaking fees vary depending on time and travel. Contact me for more information.
